Our Books

Aphotic Thought Press is a sole proprietor company owned by Gary Whitten. The company is physically based in Denison Texas, but our staff "telecommutes" by collaborating on projects online. The current ATP staff includes:

Zoe Whitten, Creative Director & E-book Editor
Zoe's diverse creative background includes writing, video production, grapic art and web site design. Zoe began self-publishing in 2007, and has published Waiting for A Miracle, (Lulu, February 2007) The Lesser of Two Evils, (Lulu, February 2007) Trail of Madness (Lulu, July 2007) and Redemption Lost. (Aphotic Thought Press, November 2008) She works part time as an assistant editor for Glass Technology, and as a copy editor for Belfire Press, and she has also edited scientific documents for the University of Milan in the past. Additionally she has handled the editing and proofreading for her books, her web site, and this site. (So if there's mistakes, you know who to blame.)

Lisa Boucher, Print Editor
Lisa has over a decade of experience in editing. She has an extensive background working with novels (including historical, mystery, fantasy, science fiction, juvenile fiction, and suspense), nonfiction books (including history, science, autobiography, self-help, travel, economics, business, religion, cooking, and exercise), short stories and poetry. In her capacity working for ATP, she has edited Redemption Lost, The Lesser of Two Evils (ATP print edition coming later this year), A Perfectly Empty Vessel (the next Wendy Stoffel novel, due later this year) and Walking Home With Strangers.

Luciano Molina, Graphics Designer
Luciano has a long history as a graphics artist, and has worked on literally hundreds of catalogs, magazines, trade publications and promotions. He has also handled the interior layouts of many novels and nonfiction books, and has taught these skills in certification courses. He is a wargamer and a miniature painter. This has little to do with his professional credits, but he asked for the information to be included.
